It's an email scam that has caught some off-guard.
The OPP is warning everyone to be cautious about emails claiming to be from banks and other financial institutions, asking you to update account profiles.
Provincial police say the emails look identical to real forms.
They include letter heads and even legal disclaimers.
By filling out the forms, you're handing over personal information that can be used to withdraw money from your account, without you knowing.
In Peterborough recently, the scam involved the transferring of $30,000 without the victim's knowledge.
